How much does a Vietnam tourist visa for Australian cost?
In the previous article, we introduced Vietnam tourist visa for Australian residents so we will not re-mention this issue but will clarify the types of expenses you must pay when applying for Vietnam visa.
Vietnam tourist visa on arrival fee
When you apply this way you have to pay two fees: service fee and stamping fee
- Service fee: It is the fee paid for the website owner to process Vietnam visa approval letter for you, fast track, and private car pick-up. Please see the application form and more option at our website visa-vietnam.org.vn.
For example: if you apply for 1-month single tourist visa for 1 person for a normal process, you will have to pay $10 processing fee in advance to get visa approval letter and pay $25 stamping fee later at an airport to get visa stamped. To get an urgent visa in 4-8 working hours, you have to pay $15 extra fee.
This fee will vary depending on the time you choose to receive your visa and we recommend that you plan as soon as possible so that you don't have to pay more for urgent.
- Normal: for those who would like to get Vietnam visa within 24-48 working hours.
- Urgent: for those who would like to get Vietnam visa within 4-8 working hours.
- Emergency: for those who would like to get Vietnam visa within 30 minutes or need it the right way for flight.
- Penalty fee: for those who would like to arrive in Vietnam on Saturday, Sunday, or public Holiday but forgotten to apply for a visa in advance. We can make this visa in 30 minutes and we have staff at the airport who will take care of all the procedures for you when you arrive
Vietnam visa costs are always updated with the latest and clearest, not concealed, no additional charges. You can see more Vietnam visa fees here.
- Stamping fee: is the fee that is paid directly to Vietnam Immigration Officer in cash (in USD) at the Immigration Counter when arriving at the airport in Vietnam to have the visa stamped on the passport. And this amount is for the Vietnam Government. You can pay directly by yourself, or we will do it for you if you chose full package on the visa application form option.
- $25/pax for a single entry visa
- $50/pax from 30 days to less than 90 days multiple entries visa

Visa costs when applying directly to the embassy
At the Embassy, you have to pay more fees and it depends on where you are. To know exactly, you must contact before going to the Embassy. Usually, it takes a lot of time to apply for a visa here and they can still do it urgently, but the fee will be much higher than the Vietnam visa on arrival. This way will suit those who are near the Vietnamese Embassy, have plenty of waiting time and don't worry about high costs.
Each way to apply for a visa has advantages and disadvantages, so consider carefully and choose the right way for yourself. According to our survey, about 80% of Australian tourists choose Vietnam tourist visa on arrival because it is convenient and very clear.
