It is great when the Germans appreciate the Vietnamese as well as admire the natural beauty and culture of Vietnam. German citizens are in the Vietnam visa exemption list with visa-free length of staying of less than 15 days in Vietnam and single entry/exit. Before applying for Vietnam visa, please make sure that your passport has at least 6 month validity counting from date of arrival and blank pages left for new stamp. Visa on arrival option is only applicable for traveling by air to Vietnam.

The Vietnam visa cost depends on the purpose, nationality and type of visa you are applying for. To check your visa fee, go online visa-vietnam.org.vn, you will know the specific fees for you in the application visa or visa fee for all countries in the world visa entry. Please note that you have 3 types of fees: service fee, stamping fee and extra service fee if you want to get visa faster, more convenient at Vietnam airport.

There are 2 types of Vietnam visa fees you must be aware before applying for visa on arrival:

1. SERVICE FEE

Is the fee that must be paid for us in advance for your process of visa approval letter that officially issued by Vietnam Immigration Department.

2. STAMPING FEE

Is the fee you are required to pay for Vietnam Immigration Officers at arrival port to get official visa stamped onto your passport. The stamping fee must be IN CASH, credit cards are not accepted.

• $25/pax for single entry visa
• $50/pax from 30 days to less than 90 days multiple entries visa
• $95/pax from 90 days to less than 180 days multiple entries visa
• $135/pax for 1 year multiple entries visa

Time to get a visa

You can apply for an approval letter as soon as you wish. Although it takes only 2 working days to get your visa approved, it is strongly advised that you apply for a Vietnam visa 1 – 2 weeks before your arrival date to avoid any unexpected payment issues, changing plan or other administrative problems.
