Firstly, you need to fill out a secured application form online with the exact information written in your original passport. After you have completed all the essential information, please keep in mind to recheck your information so as to ensure that every information is 100% correct because any incorrect info will lead to your visa being refused.
The second step is to make a payment on the internet and receive confirmation through your email after completing all the required details. Online payment can be charged by Mastercard, Paypal, or visa credit/debit card, and an only successful application will be charged.
After that, visa-vietnam.org.vn will immediately process your approval letter when we successfully check your application and payment. Within the next 2 business days (This depends on which service you choose: the normal or urgent service), your Vietnam visa on arrival approval letter will be sent to your email which is provided in the online application form.
The visa will be stamped on your passport, and on arrival in Vietnam, you will also be charged a separate fee of $25 for a single entry visa or $50 for a multiple entry visa. Immigration Control will only accept the stamping fee in cash (VND/USD), and all the bills should be crisp and unmarked. The Visa on Arrival is only valid at Vietnam international airport in Hanoi, Da Nang, Cam Ranh or Ho Chi Minh city.

How to get Vietnam visa at the Vietnam Embassy
Apply for a visa directly at the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate. This option is the most expensive and takes up to seven working days to process. However, you can apply up to six months in advance and so ideal if you like to be prepared.

- Origin passport: your passport must be valid for at least 06 months according to requirements of airlines. One valid blank page in your passport is needed. - Application form: the form is available for download at the official website of embassies. You can also get it directly at their office. In case of a loose leaf visa request, 1 additional photo must be stapled to the form.
- A prepaid return envelope, if the applicant requests the visa to be returned by mail. Please use Secure Postal Service (prepaid postage stamp envelope or return label). The Embassy does not accept credit cards for FedEx mailing service. For your document’s safety, the Embassy advices to use a mail service with tracking numbers
- Visa fee: the fees are various from the embassy to embassy and dependent on the length of stay and number of entry. Applicants applying together may submit combined payment in one money order or certified check. Other current fees (such as visa approval arrangement fee, processing fee, shipping, handling and expedite services) may be looked up at the embassy.
- The typical processing time is 5-7 business days. The express service is available for a 1-month business visa.

How to get Vietnam visa via the e-visa
An electronic visa (E-visa) is one of the visa types issued to foreigners by the Vietnamese Immigration Department via an electronic system. Vietnam E-visa is valid for a maximum of 30 days, single entry.
Conditions for being granted e-visa:
- Outside Vietnam foreigners;
- Holding a valid passport;
- Not falling into the cases of suspension from entry prescribed in Article 21 of Law on foreigners' entry into, exit from, transit through, residence in Vietnam.
The 40 countries included in the Vietnam e-Visa program are Armenia, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Brunei, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Columbia, Czech Republic, Cuba, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Mongolia, Myanmar, Norway, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Timor Leste, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay and Venezuela.
Vietnam e-visa will require the following documents:
- Original passport (which requires at least 1 month validity prior the date of exit from Vietnam and/or 6 months validity to meet airline requirements). One valid blank page in your passport is needed. - Application form. The form must be completed, signed and attached with 1 passport photo. In case of a loose leaf visa request, 1 additional photo must be stapled to the form.
- Visa fees depend on the processing time you choose when you fill in the application. Applicants applying together may submit combined payment in one money order or certified check. Fee for the stamping visa can be checked at Consular Fee. Other current fees (such as visa approval arrangement fee, processing fee, shipping, handling and expedite services) may be looked up at the embassy.
- A prepaid return envelope, if the applicant requests the visa to be returned by mail. Please use Secure Postal Service (prepaid postage stamp envelope or return label). The Embassy does not accept credit cards for FedEx mailing service. For your documents’ safety, the Embassy advices to use a mail service with tracking numbers. Applicants applying together may provide one envelope for visas to be returned to the same address. For international shipping please pay in the form of money order payable to the Embassy of Vietnam.
Note: When you arrive at the airport you will need to fill in the Vietnam Entry and Exit forms, provide two passport-sized photos, show your passport at immigration and, in some cases, present your return flight ticket. Your passport must also be valid for at least 6 months.
