VIETNAM VISA REQUIREMENTS

1. Does Ghanaian need a visa to Vietnam?
Ghanaian nationality is not included in the visa exemption list, but in the special nation list of Vietnam Immigration Department. It means that not like other countries such as Europe and America, it is a little bit difficult to apply Vietnam visa for Ghanaian passport holders. Vietnam Immigration Department will require many documents to issue a visa for Ghanaian, it also takes much time than usual. Therefore, with a higher fee than the others, all Ghanaians need to apply visa to Vietnam for either tourist or business purpose.

2. Two options for Ghanaian to apply for Vietnam visa
2.1. Apply online for a Vietnam visa on arrival
Citizens of Ghana have currently not been supported with Vietnam visa on arrival. Therefore, they are advised to directly contact the Vietnam Embassy to apply for Vietnam visa.
2.2. Apply for Vietnam visa directly at the Vietnamese Embassy/Consulate
For those who want to get a Vietnam visa beforehand or want to travel to Vietnam by land or sea, Ghanaian can go to the Vietnamese Embassy/Consulate nearest your location to apply for the visa.
At the present, in Ghana, there is no representative office of Vietnam's government so in order to make visa code or get visa stamped, Ghanaians should contact with Vietnamese Embassy in the nearest neighboring country to apply for a visa with them.
